USU SER Building Remodel
ADDRESS:
Utah State University
PROJECT SIZE:
10,375 square feet of remodel space
ARCHITECT:
CRSA Architects
YEAR OF COMPLETION:
2024
OWNER:
Utah State University
SUMMARY:
The DFCM USU SER Renovation was completed because a large portion of the space available in the SER Building is located directly adjacent to the main entrance of the building, presenting a unique opportunity for Computer Science to be much more visible and accessible to students than in their current location on the fourth floor of Old Main. This space is ideal for a burgeoning academic department and the presence of Computer Science will breathe new life into the Science & Engineering Building. Additionally, there are opportunities for Computer Science to collaborate and share spaces with other groups in SER, including the Physics Department.
This project included approximately 10,375 SF of renovation as per the plans and specifications. The square footage is divided between the first and third floors of the building. The work included enclosing open space to create office suites on the third floor and opening existing office space to create open student spaces near the main entrance on the first floor.
