SUMMARY:
USU Maverik Stadium Site Improvements & Restroom Building had just under 1200 yards of concrete poured and over 60 tons of rebar placed. One length of footing was an average of 15’ wide x 50’ long x 2’6” thick. The wall that went on top of this footing was an 18’ tall wall that was 16” wide. There was a wall on this project that reached 28’ tall.
This new restroom facility included men’s and women’s restroom. The men’s restroom included 31 urinals, 18 toilet stalls, and 17 sinks. The women’s restroom included 49 toilet stalls and 17 sinks. This building also included 2 individual restrooms and 2 personal care restrooms.
This project had to be completed prior to the first USU home football game which was on September 9, 2023. We started this project in the middle of October 2022. We excavated over 8,000 cu. yds. of material, shored up the hillside, had a winter for the record books, had a very wet spring, and had two floods, one from a broken water pipe and stormwater runoff above our site that created waterfalls into our site. With all these difficulties, we were able to complete the work and have it open for the first football game.
